"Counterpoint to the Vintage Whines of France."

"These colorful prints depicting London street merchants were copied from the paintings
of Francis Wheatly, R.A., and published by Colnaghi & Co. of Pall Mall in the 1790's.
They're a far cry from Fortnum & Mason's staff -- but good and loyal subjects
just the same.
Some were highly educated -- graduates of Bridewell College, I'm told. Lovely to look at; these
prints were still very popular in my time."

Each Cries of London print measures approx. 10.75" x 15.5"
